Affiliate disclosure

Basecamp Gadgets is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, this site earns from qualifying purchases.

This site also participates in other affiliate programs, including ones for Paria Outdoor Products and Backcountry.com. Those work the same way: if you click a link and buy something, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

In plain English: some links here are affiliate links, whether they go to Amazon, Backcountry, Paria, or another retailer. If you click one and buy something, the retailer pays me a small commission, and you pay the exact same price. That's what keeps the site running.

The commission never decides what I recommend. If a review is based on gear I own and use, I say so; if it's a comparison of gear I haven't personally carried, I say that too. If a post is ever sponsored or involves a brand partnership, I'll label it clearly.
